Huong: Projetando uma fonte vietnamita que homenageie a herança e celebre a cultura.
Resumo
Por meio de pesquisa orientada pela prática, este projeto busca projetar um tipo de letra de exibição vietnamita com base na identidade e no patrimônio cultural. Huong é um tipo de letra que sintetiza a identidade e as tradições culturais, apresentado na forma de um exemplar de tipo impresso e pôsteres contextualizados. Ao compreender o significado da arte popular vietnamita e sua ortografia, o resultado foi alcançado por meio do processo de pesquisa de campo, construção da tipografia, prototipagem e encadernação de livros. Este projeto tem o objetivo de celebrar a cultura vietnamita e honrar minha herança, pois aborda a questão: Como posso expressar minha identidade cultural por meio de um tipo de letra vietnamita? O tipo de letra Huong convida um público mais amplo a aprender mais sobre a cultura vietnamita por meio da expressão tipográfica.
