PANGAKO KO, (MI PROMESA): Cómo el diseño de una publicación puede fomentar el mantenimiento cultural y la reconexión dentro de la cultura filipina para las futuras generaciones filipinas.
Resumen
“Pangako Ko” es un trabajo que se centra en el mantenimiento y reconocimiento de la identidad cultural filipina en el exterior a través del diseño de publicaciones. Basado en mi educación a través de los ojos de padres inmigrantes, proporciona un recuerdo nostálgico hacia la futura promulgación de la cultura. El proyecto tiene como objetivo conectar y reconectar a los individuos filipinos a través de la contextualización y crítica de la cultura desde un punto de vista de segunda generación. El proyecto se basa en el significado conceptual de la familia. La base de este proyecto es fomentar y promulgar prácticas dentro de las relaciones internas y externas de la cultura a través del diseño de archivos. El marco metodológico tiene un fuerte énfasis en un enfoque autoetnográfico y una investigación heurística. El resultado es una publicación Z-Bind que comunica el marco de un filipino de segunda generación a través de pliegos fotográficos interactivos, de archivo y de varias páginas.
