Call For Papers
CALL FOR PAPERS 2024
We invite you to submit an original paper either in Te Reo Māori or English for possible inclusion in Te Kaharoa, the e-journal hosted by Te Ara Poutama at AUT. The journal welcomes articles, reflections, commentaries, creative works, film and book reviews, and digital and sound recordings.
Our focus for this year is the work of emerging Māori and Indigenous researchers and artists. Contributors are asked to consider meanings and expressions of community and collective action in the social and cultural contexts of their people and generation. Some areas of interest might include, but are not limited to, the following suggestions.
- Social equality from an Indigenous and generational perspective.
- Young Indigenous people participating in community action.
- How technology impacts on community organising.
- Negotiating community interests and collaboration in research.
Please email the editors of your intention to submit an original paper for review and publication and include the title of your paper, the names of the authors, and a short abstract. The editors will send you the stylistic guidelines for preparing the paper once they have received an abstract. The full version of the paper must be emailed to the editors by 1 August 2023 to be considered for publication.
