Provide the full postal address of each affiliation, including the country name and, if available, the e-mail address of each author.

Page Layout and font

There is no need to follow a specific template when submitting your manuscript in Word. However, please ensure your heading levels are clear, and the sections clearly defined.

Headings and subheadings

Please follow abstract guidelines (Introduction, Methods, Results/Discussion, Conclusion) for article headings. Divide your article into clearly defined sections.

Figures are to be placed in the body of the article with clear captions. Follow APA 7th guidelines for figure labels/captions. Keep text in the illustrations themselves to a minimum but explain all symbols and abbreviations used. Equations should be presented as figures with appropriate captions.

Follow APA 7th guidelines for tables. In the text, refer to every table by its number. There are two options for the placement of tables; place all tables on separate pages after the reference list, or, embed each table within the text.

Write out abbreviations in full the first time it appears in the article.

Collate acknowledgements in a separate section at the end of the article before the references. Acknowledgments can be made for those who have assisted in the preparation of the article or at any stage during the research that was integral in ensuring the article was ready for publication.

Citations and Reference list

Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). References should follow appropriate APA  referencing style. For questions on references and style, consult the following APA guide at AUT University in the first instance:
