Pacific Media Special Edition: 2024 ACMC conference
Pacific Media is calling for papers for a special edition, drawing on the submissions at the 2024 Asian Congress for Media and Communication (ACMC) held in Vietnam on 31 October to 2 November. The theme titled “ Media Construct, Constructive Media” is to be published in July 2025.
Submissions presented at the ACMC2024 conference are welcome for a double-blind review and potential publication. The edition is being coordinated, double blind peer reviewed, and published by Asia Pacific Media Network (APMN) in partnership with The Asian Congress for Media and Communication.
The deadline for submissions is: 7 April 2025
As outlined in the ACMC2024 Call for papers and programme, the publication may include these main themes:
· Mass Media and Society
· Social Media Theory, Ideology and Practice
· Media construction in public relations and advertising
· Language as a tool for media construction
· Post-pandemic media realities
· AI challenges to education
· Gender and diversity
· Hashtags, Emojis and Semiotics
· Mobile networked communities
· Legacy media in a state of flux
· Disinformation and deconstruction
