La mesa del Shabat

Resumen

Este proyecto práctico de investigación y diseño examina las historias de la diáspora judía contadas a través de la comida y la cocina. Utiliza la ilustración, el motivo, la cartografía y el simbolismo del color para crear un entorno similar al de un hogar judío en la noche del Shabat, comentando al mismo tiempo temas serios para desarrollar estas ideas dentro de los confines del formato de publicación. El objetivo de este proyecto es desarrollar un nivel más profundo de conciencia y comprensión del pueblo judío entre el público no judío, y de otros grupos judíos entre el público judío, acercando estas importantes conversaciones a través de la comida.

Ella Mishan, Auckland University of Technology

Ella Mishan es una diseñadora gráfica e ilustradora nacida y criada en Tamaki Makaurau, Aotearoa. Le apasiona explorar formas de debatir sobre la identidad judía en una sociedad cada vez más polarizada en la que el diálogo en torno al judaísmo se ha vuelto polémico y controvertido, y utilizar herramientas de diseño de publicaciones para navegar por esta situación.
