Author Guidelines

Ethical guidelines for authors
All authors submitting to Ethnographic Edge need to adhere to the following ethical guidelines:
• All authors must ensure that their article is their own original work. You will be asked to confirm this when submitting.
• All authors are equally held accountable for the content of a submitted manuscript or other text.
• The corresponding author must ensure all named co-authors consent to publication and to being named as a co-author. All persons who have made significant contribution to the work reported should be named as co-authors.
• Authors must not submit a manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
• Authors should not submit previously published work, nor work which is based in substance on previously published work, either in part or whole.
• Authors must appropriately cite all relevant publications. Information obtained privately, as in conversation, correspondence, or discussion with third parties, should not be used or reported in the author's work unless fully cited, and with the permission of that third party.
• Authors must demonstrate that appropriate ethical principles have been followed in their research. These may include, but are not limited to, informed consent, privacy, respect and cultural sensitivity. Where ethical considerations are not discussed in the submission a separate statement regarding ethics should be attached as an endnote.
• Authors must avoid making defamatory statements in submitted articles, which could be construed as impugning any person's reputation.
• Authors must declare any potential conflict of interest – be it professional or financial – which could arise with respect to the article.
• Authors must disclose all sources of funding for the research reported in the paper.

Style guidelines for Authors
Articles for consideration by the Editorial Board should be submitted online through the Open Journal Systems management system. This system manages all submissions and reviews, and authors can log in to track their submissions. Authors will receive feedback through the management system.

Visual illustrations and links to video clips are encouraged in keeping with the ethos and practice of contemporary ethnography. Links to moving images can be made by including website links to YouTube or other online sources, if relevant.
The text is 1.5 line spacing; uses an 11-point Times New Roman font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. All figures and artwork must be scaled to fit and be submitted in electronic format.

Manuscripts should have a separate title page that contains the title and the names, affiliations and email addresses of all authors.

Please provide an abstract and keywords

Languages other than English
A title and abstract in British English must be provided for each manuscript.
Authors will be asked to nominate reviewers who are fluent in the original language used in the manuscript.
If you wish to provide an English translation for your paper please indicate this in the comments section along with the name and contact details of a potential translator. In order to reach the widest audience, we recommend that papers should be published in both their language of origin and English.
Every effort will be made to ensure that manuscripts are presented accurately in their language of origin. To assist us in this you will be asked to nominate a proof reader during the publication process.

Referencing style
All references must adhere to the most current APA style guidelines.
All appropriate references should have doi numbers or URLs included. You can search the name of articles here
