Special Issue - Donna Awatere’s Māori Sovereignty

We are delighted that Decolonization of Criminology and Justice has published its first Special Issue. We would like to thank Dr Adele N. Norris for compiling a truly thought-provoking issue that celebrates the 40th anniversary of Donna Awatere's book publication Māori Sovereignty by demonstrating its contemporary applicability and intellectual value that go beyond the borders of Aotearoa New Zealand. The special issue consists of three research articles, two commentaries and one book review that we believe you will enjoy reading. Please share these wonderful news with your networks.

We are also calling for papers for Volume 6, issues 1 and 2 to be published in 2024. All research article manuscripts should be submitted before 15 January 2024 or 15 June 2024 respectively. Commentaries, creative writings and book reviews should be submitted by 15 March 2024 or 15 August 2024 respectively.
