Is ‘new’ anti‐Semitism really ‘new’?
Keywords:
anti-Semitism, Holocaust, hatred, irrationality
Abstract
The paper considers whether the ‘new’ anti‐Semitism identified by, for example, Bauer, Pipes and Sacks is in fact a new phenomenon. It considers several key moments in the history of anti‐Semitism, together with a series of meetings facilitated by Volkan between psychotherapists affected by the Holocaust. The conclusion is that the ‘new’ manifestations are ‘old’ processes reactivated in new contexts.Downloads
