Notice

The journal Psychotherapy and Politics International, which has been published since 2002, initially funded by Psychotherapists and Counselling for Social Responsibility, then Wiley, and, most recently, by the Black, African and Asian Therapy Network, is looking for a new sponsor or sponsors.

The current editorial team is Karen Minikin, Ian Parker, David Pavón-Cuéllar, and Keith Tudor. The Managing Editor is Angie Strachan.

While our long-term goal is to find a new sponsor/home, and new editors to join the editorial team, in the meantime, we are looking for an institute, institution, or person(s) to fund an issue, the cost of which to produce is NZD $3,000.00 (i.e., currently £1,500/€1,500/USD $1,750). If you direct or work at such an institute or instruction and are interested in sponsoring and editing an issue of the journal – which could be a generic issue as we still have articles being submitted, or a special issue of your choice – please contact Angie Strachan, Managing Editor, PPI, at angie.strachan@aut.ac.nz.

In order to manage submissions, time, and finances, we are currently planning two issues per year for the next two years as follows:

Volume 24, Number 1 – A generic issue which will be curated by Moana Nui Psychological Therapies Research Group at Auckland University of Technology, Aotearoa New Zealand, and edited by Keith Tudor, Maria Haenga-Collins, and Siliva Togatuki.

Volume 24, Number 2 – A special issue on ‘Psychoanalysis and the libidinal economy: Critiques and radical propositions in contemporary capitalism’ which will be edited by Edgar M. Juárez-Salazar and Carlos Gómez Camarena, and subject to being funded.

Volume 25, Number 1 – A special issue on ‘Neo-fascism, subjectivity and psychology’ which will be edited by Leonardo Carnut, and also subject to being funded.

Volume 25, Number 2 – An issue (the nature of which will be confirmed) which will be curated by Prabhava Institute, Bengaluru, India, and edited by Deepak Dhananjaya and Gunjan Zutshi.
