Welcome to the New Zealand Journal of Employment Relations. The NZJER is a fully open access, peer-reviewed journal which publishes research and commentaries that aim to contribute to an in-depth understanding of employment relations.

Founded in 1976, it is the leading journal of employment relations research in New Zealand. Covering topics such as employment law and human resource management, occupational health and safety, training and development, labour economics and public policy, it is a must for academics, students, researchers and policy makers.

From 2020, the NZJER will be fully open access; journal issues dated between 2003 and 2019 (incl.) will be added to this website over time. In addition to hosting the Journal, this site is an online resource and forum in which you can find up to date information on employment relations both within New Zealand and overseas.
