Painting as research

Abstract

Esther's poster is a visual representation of the thought processes and experimentation involved in her Masters in Visual Arts thesis.  In this thesis, she is using paintings of built structures to explore the metaphor of a remnant.  The images of these remnants or fragments spark ideas around time, memory, loss, and the gap between the known and the unknown.
