Author Guidelines

The following author guidelines are for RESEARCH ARTICLE submissions only: Original research with a focus on the hospitality and tourism industry. Word limit 3000 words excluding references, tables and images.

Structure: Page Layout and font: A4 Portrait, Margins 3cm Left and Right; 2.5cm Top and Bottom, Font: Calibri or Arial, 12.

Headings and subheadings: Divide your article into clearly defined sections. As a guide: Introduction, Methods, Results/Discussion, Conclusion. Variations on this will be accepted based on subject matter and article structure.

Figures: Figures are to be placed in the body of the article with clear captions. A caption should comprise a brief title (not on the figure itself) and a description of the illustration. Keep text in the illustrations themselves to a minimum but explain all symbols and abbreviations used. Equations should be presented as figures with appropriate captions.

Third party material: If submissions to this journal contain materials that have not been created by the authors or has been used by the authors in previous submissions to this or other publications, authors are required to clear third-party copyright for online use of these items.

Abbreviations: Write out abbreviations in full the first time it appears in the article.

Citations and Reference list: Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). References should follow APA 7th referencing style. For questions on references and style, consult the following APA guide at AUT Library.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • The text observes the style and reference requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Authors have read copyright and creative commons licensing and agree with these conditions.
  • Authors have declared any conflict of interest associated with the submission.
  • Where available, DOI’s for the references have been provided.
