Psychoanalytic psychotherapy supervision of UJ

Abstract

This paper explores various aspects of the supervisory process with UJ and illustrates the problems we had to face. It highlights the systemic issues and the complexities of philosophical and cultural differences. It also analyses the anxiety present in the supervisory relationship.

Laetitia Puthenpadath

Laetitia Puthenpadath is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist working in Community Mental Health Services in Auckland. She studied biology and religion in India and in the Philippines. She trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy in Auckland and is a member and supervisor of N.Z.A.P. She also has memberships in 'the Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in Auckland and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association of Australasia. Laetitia lives in a community of Christian women who have taken vows.
